Over the course of the last year we've increasingly found it difficult to process payment via cheque.

Firstly, our bank tariff changed making cheques more costly even though electronic payments became cheaper.

Secondly, our local branch of Lloyds-TSB became just the TSB. Unfortunately the Lloyds part of that split kept the business accounts and our nearest branch of Lloyds became a branch in the next town that is only open three days a week. Our local TSB was still handling Lloyds cheques up until July but have now stopped.

So, given the low numbers of cheques we receive and the difficulties the banks are throwing our way in terms of over-the-counter banking we've unfortunately decided that we have to stop accepting payment via cheque at the end of 2014.

Payments can be made via PayPal using either a PayPal account balance or credit/debit card.

We also added direct payment via credit/debit card earlier this year if you would rather not use PayPal. These payments are processed securely via Stripe.com and we do not store your card details; we don't even see them.

Lastly you can still pre-load your account by adding funds as ever and if you would prefer to use a BACS bank transfer that can be arranged.
