If you receive back an error '451 Temporary local problem' when trying to access your mail then the usual reason for this is that you've got the password or username wrong in your email account setup in your Mail client. ie. Apple Mail, Outlook, Eudora or whatever local mail client is configured incorrectly.
The error occurs because our servers will block an IP address temporarily from connecting to the mail server after too many failed login attempts.
To rectify the error, correct your mail client configuration and either
- wait for the temporary block to lapse
- switch your router off and on again if your ISP gives you a dynamic IP address
- raise a support ticket asking to be unblocked. If you have a static IP address, you may ask to be permanently unblocked
