Retrieving or changing your email account password

The aim of this article is to show how a cPanel customer can reset or change a lost password. For security reasons, passwords cannot be revealed and can only be reset.

If you do not look after the cPanel service for your business then you should contact the person who does, or your company's IT team, for help and advice.

To reset your E-mail Password

To reset the password, login to cPanel at http://yourdomainname.co.uk/cpanel/

In the Mail section on the right hand side of the screen, select 'Email Accounts'.

Alongside each email account are a series of options including 'Change Password'.

You will then be asked to set the password. For security purposes, we recommend using the Password Generator which will generate a secure password.

Remember to keep a record of the password which you'll need later to put into the settings for your email account in your email software, your phone, our webmail or anywhere else you receive or send email.
