Dear customer,
To kick off 2009, we've been working on ourselves, buffing ourselves up.
But first a big thank you to our customers throughout 2008 and for that matter those of you that have been with us since 2003. Thank you. 2008 was our best year yet despite it going a little bit credit crunchy at the end.
The aegishosting website is undergoing complete refurbishment and hopefully we'll have that all finished this month. Despite designing websites ourselves, somehow updating your own often gets put on the back burner, but we've resolved to keep our sites trim and up to date this year.
Anyhoo,we've been working out and here's how you too can avoid sand in your eyes during 2009...
The Insult That Turned a 'Chump' Into a ChampOver the years we've noticed a few users upgrading from a lower shared hosting package to a higher package, so we asked a few why. Turns out it's sometimes not just for the extra bandwidth or disk space. Sometimes it's just because we've put an arbitary limit on the number of databases allowed, or the number of email boxes, in the hope that you buy a bigger package than you need. Someone even described it as 'mean'. That cut us deep, so from today we're introducing our 'No Limits' policy across ALL our shared hosting packages. These apply to existing accounts and new signups.
How Jack the Weakling Slaughtered the Dance-Floor HogWe know. Some of you will be muttering a 'meh!' as what you actually want really is more bandwidth and disk space. We've also doubled bandwidth allowances on our shared hosting packages and increased disk space. No more will you suffer from having an undersized package.
These limits (yes we're aware of the irony having said 'No Limits' not five seconds ago) apply to existing and new accounts today. |
Hey, Skinny! Yer Ribs are Showing!Ok, ok, we know some of you are still after bragging rights and nothing impresses like a dedicated server. For those of you that have outgrown a shared hosting package, there's nothing better - except maybe two dedicated servers. If you're running an indecently sized website, e-commerce store or just want to set up your server YOUR way then this is for you. We've reintroduced dedicated servers to our product range now that we've found a decent datacentre in the UK. We're now offering three levels of dedicated server based on Dell R200 hardware. All come with plenty of bandwidth, which was often the sticking point for UK datacentres, on 100Mbit connections to excellent infrastructure in London and Manchester. See our dedicated server offerings here. If you'd still like a dedicated server based in the USA in our long time datacentre in Atlanta, we can still do those but email us to talk over specifications and pricing first. With the price of the pound v dollar at the moment, UK servers are relatively cheap today. That's your lot for today - stick with the program and we'll have you bench pressing twenty by June*. Shaun
